Schedule 1
Schedule 1 is the routine maintenance schedule Nissan recommends for drivers with more severe operating conditions. For example, if you make repeated short trips of under 5 miles in normal temperatures or trips of under 10 miles in freezing temperatures, this means that you should follow Schedule 1. Schedule 1 is also the preferred maintenance schedule for drivers who engage in stop-and-go driving in hot weather or low-speed driving over long distances. If you are following Schedule 1, you should make sure to take your Nissan to your dealership every 3,750 miles or three months, depending on which comes first.
Schedule 2
Schedule 2 is the maintenance schedule recommended for drivers who operate their vehicles in less severe conditions. Generally if you are driving your new Nissan in any conditions not listed above under Schedule 1, this means that you should follow Schedule 2. Unlike Schedule 1, Schedule 2 only prescribes maintenance every 7,500 miles or six months, depending on which comes first.
